Mm, last grade – exams and getting ready for university. A lot of possibilities, a lot of things to do. First of all, I’m not sure what future has in store for me, at the moment I really don’t feel like studying, I’d rather just take the bus and head to the distant lands. Speaking of distant lands, my mother drowned my camera in the Red sea.. It feels like a big chunk was bitten out of me. Really would love to hit the streets and do some street photography. I still know that photography is something I would love doing in the future and am now in deep thought on which camera to upgrade onto. Thinking of Canon 500d or Nikon d90 – Both are excellent cameras for my needs and also equipped with video recorders. Now the canon has better parameters for the videos but Nikon is better for photography. So I’m leaning to Nikon because the video recording for me is just a great bonus + already used to moving around in Nikons. There are moments when a single picture just doesn’t tell the story quite as well as a short video clip would. A serious outgo but art demands sacrifices.
Poker is going bad for me, mindset is tilted and I’m on a sick cooler period, every decent hand is cracked by the river, ugh, don’t even want to talk about it. Well, Estonian law has banned internet casinos and for some reason every online poker site as well. In Lithuania a few days ago, poker was officially declared as a sport where the long-term winners are the people who have the edge of knowing and feeling the game and now Estonia acts like this just because poker players don’t pay taxes. WOW. The Europe Union is not far from suing Estonia to the court of EU. We’ll see what happens. We can still play, but it’s illegal. 🙂
On music, I’m still writing new songs. A lot of school notepads are full of song texts, also wrote a short novel in the time I was supposed to write my test-exam. Oh well.. I haven’t had the chance to jam on the guitars for quite some time, forgetting things already.
Last week, Alice in wonderland premiered. It was so overdone, the main focus was on the 3d effects and other features just stayed behind the curtains. Cough, Johnny was great as usual but Alice was a bad cast, the Alice in the book (or my fantasy) was way better. Overall, the book > the movie.
Oh, and speaking of books.. Read 5 books within 5 days, hadn’t done that for quite some time now. I love sitting in traffic jams because then I don’t have to shut my book and jump out of the bus any time soon. Hate it when I’m getting into the story and get distracted by the lady who just announced my stop. Well, I should be thankful actually. I guess I am.. somewhere deep inside.
